I have to inspire myself. 90% of the time I don't not feel well because of being in pain all the time but I am determined not to look like I feel. I have found out that your attitudes and responses to life situations determines how you are able to cope with the situation. Everyday, I try to get up with a positive attitude that today will be a good day. I must admit that it does take me longer to get ready than the average person. My goal is to look better than I feel.
In coping with any chronic condition, it is good to pace yourself and not to be rushed as thus increases your stress level. 

Stress is one of the number one causes and triggers to pain if you have fibromyalgia or other Chronic Pain conditions like Arthritis and Lupus. 

What Is Stress?

Stress is the body's reaction to harmful situations -- whether they’re real or perceived. When you feel threatened, a chemical reaction occurs in your body that allows you to act in a way to prevent injury. This reaction is known as "fight-or-flight,” or the stress response. Taking a family trip with a chronic illness like fibromyalgia can be both good and bad. Here are my top five tips to help you to have the best experience.   1. Plan to take several Small Trip to near by places during the year- long trips can be hard on the body. Many of us decline to travel because we know how it makes the body feel.   2. Plan ahead- This helps to decrease getting stressed out by being rushed to get everything together  3. Travel with other family members- this is goo because they can help out with the driving responsibilities if you have small children that can help with the driving.    4. Leave early-The reason for this is the to make sure that you have time to stop along the way to stretch and for the bathroom breaks.
