No Pain:The Struggle Continues

Do you remember the last time that you were not on experiencing physical pain? I honestly can not recall the day when I was not having some pain some where on my body. I know you are probably saying ....Really Nora? or you may very well have the same response. Most days the mornings are the worst and then again late at night. I am thankful even just a few minutes in the day that I may get some relief. I often find myself consumed with researching what the alternatives are in regards to coping with Fibromyalgia. I recently learned that our body needs more magnesium and many of us are magnesium deficient. Less than 10 percent of Americans meet the recommended dietary allowance. Most with magnesium deficiency may not even know it because they have no symptoms or minor ones. Despite the fact that this condition often flies under the radar, some health experts believe that magnesium deficiency is one of the largest and most under-addressed health problems. The symptoms vary fro...

Turmeric & Ginger Drink

Recently I began to struggle more in my health, so I have decided to pay closer attention to my diet. I have added several new  key ingredients that I have found to have very great benefits to decreasing inflammation as well as helping to relax and provide energy. I was also told at  my most recent visit that I was once a again vitamin D deficient and I am currently on the highest dosage of vitamin D taking one time per week. This new recipe that I would like to share. Turmeric Energy Boost 1 knot of fresh ginger root (peeled) 1/4 cup of lemon 1/2 teaspoon of honey 1/4 teaspoon of ginger (I used one capsule-recommended daily dosage) 1 cup of 100% white grape juice ( original recipe called for coconut water) add some ice cubes Blend all ingredients together and drink makes one serving.

Fashion Inspiration :Black and White

I have to inspire myself. 90% of the time I don't not feel well because of being in pain all the time but I am determined not to look like I feel. I have found out that your attitudes and responses to life situations determines how you are able to cope with the situation. Everyday, I try to get up with a positive attitude that today will be a good day. I must admit that it does take me longer to get ready than the average person. My goal is to look better than I feel. In coping with any chronic condition, it is good to pace yourself and not to be rushed as thus increases your stress level.  Stress is one of the number one causes and triggers to pain if you have fibromyalgia or other Chronic Pain conditions like Arthritis and Lupus.  What Is Stress? Stress is the body's reaction to harmful situations -- whether they’re real or perceived. When you feel threatened, a chemical reaction occurs in your body that allows you to act in a way to prevent injury. This re...

Laughter is a Good like a Medicine......

How often do you laugh in a day?.....or do you laugh? Or do you just let the pressures of life  and your day to day situations get you down.... Did you know that it takes more muscles and energy to frown than it does to smile?  All writers look for inspiration when they write.   So on tonight, I have to give cordite for my subject due to two totally different situations. One was my lesson tonight in bible study lead by my Pastor that always gives us a word for our souls on on mid-week service.    He is totally led by the spirit of God and knows just what to say ... For that I am so greatful.. My other inspiration comes from a dear friend that I had a phone conversation with last night ....it was very uplifting and she also helped me with her positive attitude and wonderful spirit and she to listens to God and always know just what to say at the appropriate time.  It is good to surround yourself around spirit-filled people.  Everyone of us should just t...
